Hudson District Park Overview
Hudson Park was originally opened in 1962 as a golf course. In 2019 Council resolved to close the golf course and transform the park into a vibrant greenspace, catering to the wider community rather than a dwindling number of golf playing members.
The Hudson District Park project includes traffic improvements, the installation of a high intensity playground, landscaping, seating and a sheltered area with BBQ facilities to provide the community an open space for social gatherings all year round. These upgrades will ensure that the needs of the growing population in our community are met, and the site will be more accessible with traffic improvements to help ease congestion in the area.
Hudson District Park Oval is constantly utilised by community sporting groups and is due for an upgrade to ensure functionality into the future. Fencing, drainage improvements, lighting, irrigation systems, seating for attendees and renovation of the center wicket will ensure the oval is able to cater to the constant demand from the community.
