Strathfield Park Overview

Strathfield Park is Strathfield’s oldest and most popular park providing a wide range of sporting and recreational facilities. Events such as Christmas Carols, the Strathfield Spring Festival and Movies in the Park are held in the Park.

The parks popularity is due in part to the children’s playground facilities situated within close proximity to seating and BBQ areas. The premier playground includes a 2,225 square metre area including all abilities and high intensity equipment. There is also an educational kids bike track on the Chalmers Road side. With the installation of 2 synthetic fields, Strathfield Park is also a popular venue for local sporting groups and schools.

This project includes a new sports court to cater to the growing community demand. The current old amenities facility will be demolished and replaced with BBQs and shaded picnic areas. A storage building will be added along the access road in the park to be utilised by Council parks staff.
