Introduction

Effective communication between residents and Council is vital to maintaining our area and providing a high standard of service. Council wants to hear from residents on how we can best communicate with you.

Areas of communication include (but are not limited to):

  • Informing residents of local works, upcoming projects, new policies, services, events and programs.
  • Asking residents for feedback and gathering information.
  • Receiving queries and service requests from residents.

The new strategy will aim to create symmetry across the various methods Council uses to communicate with residents, as well as streamline communications across all Council departments. A vital part of the strategy will deal with how to create meaningful communications that meet the needs of residents, and find them on the platforms they use.

To do this, Council is requesting feedback from residents and the wider public on how often they like to receive information from Council, how they like to receive it, what they want to know and more. You can help by completing the survey by Sunday 22 February 2026.

Your feedback and ideas will be used to create a strategy which will assist Council in building mutually beneficial relationships with residents based on useful communication.
