Strathfield Council has prepared a high-level masterplan for the newly acquired 20A Parramatta Road site.
The Vision
The transformation of 20A Parramatta Road, Homebush, is a key part of Council’s vision to enhance local amenity, accessibility, and open space.
Strategically located between Parramatta Road, Powells Creek, and Homebush Train Station, the site offers numerous opportunities as part of the emerging Transit-Oriented Development precinct.
The project seeks to expand Ismay Reserve South into a larger, more inclusive, and better-connected park, incorporating shaded areas, landscape buffers, and an improved spatial layout to create a greener, more comfortable environment.
The project seeks to install a new pedestrian bridge across Powells Creek and a new thoroughfare linking residents to Homebush Train Station, transforming the reserve into a vital east–west corridor.
