We’re inviting our community to have your say on Council’s Draft Delivery Program 2025–2029 and Operational Plan 2026–2027.
These plans set out what Council will deliver over the coming years, including services, projects, and infrastructure, and how we will invest in our community.
Your feedback is important in helping shape the final plans before they are adopted.

They translate the long-term community vision in Strathfield 2040 into practical actions and priorities.
What’s Included
Delivery Program 2025–2029
A four-year plan outlining Council’s key priorities, commitments, and major projects.
Operational Plan 2026–2027
A detailed one-year plan that includes:
- Services, projects and actions
- Performance measures
- Budget and capital works program
- Proposed rates, fees and charges
Key Focus Areas
Over the coming period, key areas of focus include:
- Continued upgrades to parks, open spaces and recreational facilities, including projects funded through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) program
- Progressing town centre and village planning to support vibrant, accessible and people-focused places
- Planning for growth and infrastructure delivery, including work associated with the Homebush Transport Oriented Development (TOD) precinct
- Delivering community programs, library services, cultural events and initiatives that celebrate Strathfield’s diversity and support wellbeing
- Maintaining clean, safe and well-managed public spaces, roads and facilities
- Strengthening customer experience, digital access and organisational capability
- Ensuring long-term financial sustainability and responsible asset management.
The Draft Operational Plan also includes Council’s Draft 2026-2027 Budget, Capital Works Program, Statement of Revenue Policy, and proposed Fees and Charges 2026-2027. These components outline how Council will fund services and projects, prioritise and deliver infrastructure investment, manage and renew assets, and meet its financial responsibilities in a transparent and sustainable way for both current and future generations.

The draft documents will be on public exhibition for a minimum of 28 days:
Friday 1 May 2026 to Thursday 28 May 2026
All submissions received during this time will be reviewed before the plans are presented to Council for adoption on 30 June 2026.
