With the repealing of the 2025 Model Code of Meeting Practice issued by the Office of Local Government (OLG), Council resolved to rescind its current Code of Meeting Practice December 2025 (Resolution 413/25). Council has reverted to the Code of Meeting Practice September 2025 which is based on the mandatory provisions of the 2021 Model Code of Meeting Practice.

In doing so, Council has further resolved to include a clause (Clause 22) which will enable amendments to be introduced without further public consultation for matters that are not in conflict with any mandatory provisions of the prescribed Model Code of Meeting Practice, are administrative or minor in nature and align with the meeting principles of the Code.
